For the second year running Omni Capital stars in the shortlist for the RESI Awards.

Omni Capital, backed by the CPC Group, has been revealed as a contender for the title of Residential Financier of the Year.

In this category, the lender will be rubbing shoulders with Barclays, Capital A, Pluto Finance, RBS and Urban Exposure.

Colin Sanders, CEO of Omni Capital, said: "While any independently-awarded accolade is satisfying, I'm especially pleased that Omni Capital has been shortlisted once again for an award that recognises excellence, innovation and capacity in such a specific area.

"We have worked hard over the past year to establish Omni as the short-term lender of choice in the booming prime and super-prime residential property sector. The fact we're shortlisted alongside the likes of Barclays and RBS reflects well not just on ourselves, I believe, but on the giant strides taken by specialist lending as a whole.

"We face a tough task to turn a shortlisting into a win, but I'd like to put on record my thanks to the intermediary firms who so loyally supported our nomination."

As one of the only specialist lenders on the shortlist, the nomination acts as a testament to the development of the short term finance market.

The shortlist was announced at the end of last week and includes awards such as UK Sales Agency of the Year, Residential Consultancy Practise of the Year and PRS Deal of the Year.

The ceremony will be held on the 14th of May at the Grosvenor Hotel, London.
