The company, which is a leading Invoice Trading firm, clinched the award ahead of some of the premier names in the Alternative Finance industry. Judges praised Platform Black’s ‘solid blend of innovation and conventional growth’.
Platform Black co-founder Louise Beaumont said: “This is another fantastic accolade for the Platform Black team and we are delighted with the judges' assessment.”
“As Platform Black, and alternative finance in general, becomes increasingly mainstream, it is important for the market to recognise that new players like ourselves, that are innovating and delivering what customers want, aren't asking customers to compromise on traditional service values, including accessibility, responsiveness and capacity to lend.
“This award is important recognition that we are getting the blend right and a major landmark in our journey to becoming a leading provider of cashflow finance to Britain’s SMEs.”
Platform Black enables SMEs to select the invoices they want to finance and set the price they are prepared to pay, empowering British businesses to control their own cashflow.
Since its launch in 2011, the company has advanced £60m to Britain’s SMEs and is providing access to over £1m per week in new finance.
Platform Black is a member of the Alternative Business Funding collaboration, which is consulting with the Government on how to improve access to finance for SMEs following the commitments made by George Osborne in the March 2014 Budget.
