< The SRA has issued a warning to the public after a mortgage law firm was targeted in a series of scam emails.
The regulator has reported that members of the public have been receiving emails falsely claiming to be from Philip Collis and Richard Leigh, from mortgage litigation and recoveries law firm, TLT LLP, in regards to claiming inheritance.
TLT LLP, which states on its website that it is one of the UK’s largest real estate groups, with over 100 advisors, is regulated by the SRA and is based at 1 Redcliff Street, Bristol, with the genuine email address [email protected]. Both Philip Collis and Richard Leigh are genuine employees of the firm and are authorised and regulated by the SRA.
TLT LLP, Philip Collis and Richard Leigh have all confirmed to the regulator that they are not connected to these scam emails.
The scam emails give out the address of One Redcliff Street, Bristol, and use the email addresses:

It has been noted that any business or transactions through these email addresses are not taken on by an authorised solicitor or SRA-regulated firm, and it has been advised by the regulator that due diligence should be conducted by contacting the law firm or the SRA directly or in order to check for authenticity.
