The regulator suspects that fraudsters have attempted to convince people in the UK that they work for genuine FCA authorised firm Sparrows Capital Limited of Manchester Square, London.
The watchdog believes that impersonators are giving out the following details “… as part of their tactics to scam people in the UK.”

“If you think you have been approached by an unauthorised or clone firm, or contacted about a scam, you should contact our Consumer Helpline on 0800 111 6768,” added the FCA.
Genuine FCA authorised firm, Sparrow Capital Limited of 22, Manchester Square, London states that it has no association to the self-declared global legal advice practice - Sparrow Capital Partners.
The FCA clarified that a ‘clone firm’ is a tactic usually adopted by fraudsters by using an authorised firms details when contacting people out of the blue.
