Commercial 1 secure exclusive distribution deal with connect mortgage group


Commercial 1, the specialist Bromley-based brokerage has just been appointed by the Connect Mortgage Group to exclusively offer secured loans, commercial mortgages and bridging finance to its network of introducers.

The deal means that Connect’s introducers will benefit from Commercial 1’s market leading technology – ifinance – the CRM system which allows introducers to submit their enquiries through the web. It also offers automatic credit searches, land registry searches and auto-underwriting options, ensuring that the most appropriate secured loan plan has been chosen and offers various loan options within minutes.

Commercial 1 also offers training seminars and broker workshops and accompanies the Connect regional sales managers on joint broker visits, ensuring a cohesive and high level of service and support.

Connect has more than doubled in size over 2007, achieving over £1.4 billion in lending – with a £3 billion target set for 2008. Despite challenging market conditions, the company is in a very strong position as it is backed by one of the country’s leading venture capitalists. This means that 2008 will entail a period of expansion for the group, as it looks to acquire packaging companies and smaller networks.
