p>Bridging lender West One Loans has announced the appointment of Lee Carling to the role of Head of Collections.

Lee joins from fellow bridging lenders Dragonfly Property Finance where he spent five years as Servicing Manager.

West One has recently grown its loan book to £200m after completing more than £80m of loans in Q1 2015 and Lee is delighted to have joined a “household name in the bridging sector.”

“I have long admired its innovative and flexible approach to short-term finance,” said Lee.

“It is a constantly evolving industry and West One’s manoeuvrability and adaptation to new challenges has allowed it to stay front and centre.

“It has posted some seriously impressive results in the past few years and I am excited to be joining a lender that is so clearly on the up.

Stephen Wasserman, Director of West One Loans, said he always looked to boost his team with the brightest talent around and was impressed by Lee’s 15 years’ experience in financial services.

“He has a detailed understanding of the bridging industry and will ensure that all our active loans are effectively managed and that any issues are professionally resolved,” said Stephen.

“Given our stellar start to the year, Lee is joining at a busy time for the business and we are confident that he can help us write the next chapter of our growth story.

“With short-term finance now proving a viable option for a widening range of borrowers, the sky is the limit for the bridging sector.”

Lee’s appointment comes just after the appointment of Samir Shah who joined West One as an underwriter.
