One of the key appointments includes new Operations and Credit Manager, Emma Haughian, who has worked in the financial services industry since 1997.

Emma has gained invaluable experience at the well regarded IFA, John Charcol, before moving to SPML where she spent many years managing various underwriting teams. 

Emma has worked in the short term industry since 2008, where she has most recently worked at a peer-to-peer lender.

Other new hires include ex-Paragon employee, Francesca O’Keith, as Service and Collections administrator, and Ginny Warby, who has joined as Business Development Executive after working at Suite Loans and specialist broker, Only Bridging.

Lauren Smith has also joined as Loans Administrator and Daniel Ruiz has been welcomed to the team as Finance Assistant.

Chanice Patel, who has been a trainee for the last six months, now becomes an Assistant Underwriter for the lender.

Masthaven is also currently recruiting for a new underwriter in the bridging department.

The recruitment drive was launched around the same time the lender revealed it was set to become a bank by summer next year.

Masthaven Bank is to be headed up by Managing Director, Jon Hall, and has hired James Blower as Head of Savings.

Jon told B&C that Masthaven Finance has delivered a lot this year, including an award-winning service, record levels of completions and innovative products.

“We’re looking to 2016 with excitement having announced plans to launch a new retail bank in the UK,” Jon said.

“However our future success is dependent upon a policy of employing the best talent, our recruitment in 2015 is testament to this and we’re currently looking for a bridging underwriter.

Earlier this month, B&C exclusively revealed that Roz Cawood had joined the lender from LendInvest as BDM for London in order to expand the sales team.
