Stuart Whittle joins the mutual from the specialist lender where he was Director of Finance.
Stuart said: “I bring energy, enthusiasm and passion to this role but also significant experience of transforming finance functions and building engaged and high performing teams.
“Having lived in Leeds for over 20 years I am thrilled to be joining a local institution which is a significant financial services business both regionally and nationally.
“I am delighted to be joining the society at this exciting stage in its ongoing development and look forward to helping contribute to future successes.”
Prior to working at Together, Stuart spent eight years as Finance Director at Close Brothers Motor Finance and two years in the same role at GE Money.
At Leeds Building Society, he will be responsible for leading the planning, decision support and insight components of the lender’s finance function.
Stuart will also ensure that the correct processes, systems and structures are in place to provide high-quality support to its customers.
