Peer-to-peer lender LendInvest has appointed three new Business Development Managers (BDMs).

Alex Kyriacou and Alex Strien both join from MarketInvoice, while Tom Madden joins from Gemini Consultants.

The new recruits will be responsible for bringing LendInvest’s expanding product range to a wider audience of borrowers and brokers.

Matthew Tooth, Head of Distribution at LendInvest, said: “Adding Alex, Tom and Alex to our business development team puts us in a strong position as we move into 2016 and aim to increase our share of the short-term mortgage market.

“Our BDM team has more than tripled in size since the start of the year, reflecting growing demand for our online lending products, particularly in niche segments of the markets that traditional lenders can not or choose not to enter.”

Alex Kyriacou was a partnerships manager at MarketInvoice, and prior to that he managed commercial finance brokerage at Touch Financial.

He has also held underwriting and business development roles at Mortgage Express.

Alex Strien was a senior funding specialist at MarketInvoice where he helped to launch several new products for borrowers.

He previously worked as a market reporter for data provider ICIS.

Tom spent 10 years in a range of advisory and business developments roles at Gemini Consultants, and most recently headed Gemini’s business development activity where he specialised in third-party loan servicing, financial services consulting and IT.

Tom is also a CeMAP-qualified mortgage adviser.
