p>Several new bridging lenders will enter the market this year, according to Brian Rubins, Managing Director of Alternative Bridging Corporation.

But, Brian said that only those with hard-learned experience and who understand due diligence will survive.

Brian also predicted an increase in demand for experienced brokers with expertise in bridging finance.

“For the brokers who have this expertise or are willing to enhance their knowledge of bridging, the future looks bright.

Brian said that as credit eases, it will first become available to lenders with a proven track record to lend to end borrowers.

“These established lenders, with liquidity and strong marketing teams, provide their introducers with predictable underwriting, speed of response and certainty of closing and as a result will grow significantly in the year ahead,” said Brian.

Alternative Bridging predicts that its average loan will increase from £900k to £1.5m.
