The specialist lender, which was recently named in the Spear’s 500 Top Five firms for property financing, has hired Liam Lawlor, who joins from Metro Bank where he worked as a BDM for three years.
Prior to this, Liam worked for HSBC and St James’s Place in a range of client-facing roles.
Dragonfly also promoted Daniel Murray to BDM (East Region) after he joined the lender in March last year.
Daniel will cover some of the firm’s biggest introducers across Essex, Suffolk and the major hubs in north London.
Commenting on the two new positions, D’mitri Zaprzala, Head of Sales at Dragonfly Property Finance, said: “Daniel has had a massive impact since his arrival and has really helped develop the business internally.
“His promotion was well deserved and I have no doubt he will add considerable value for our introducer base.
“Liam’s industry experience will also strengthen our broker relationships and bring new insights to the way we work and the processes we have in place. It’s an exciting start to 2016.”
Liam Lawlor, External BDM at Dragonfly Property Finance, added: “When I was introduced to Dragonfly, I was hugely impressed by what they had achieved in such a short space of time.
Liam explained that Dragonfly’s future growth plans appealed to him as there was plenty of room for career progression.
“The people working here are great, hard work is rewarded and under Mark Posniak’s leadership I have no doubt that the success story will continue.”
Daniel Murray, External BDM at Dragonfly Property Finance, said: “Since I joined Dragonfly last year I have learnt so much about the industry.
“What I especially like is the way we are allowed to be really flexible with our products and how they are structured.
“As a result, I am constantly learning something new and expanding my knowledge. I have really enjoyed the journey so far but it’s a journey that is far from finished.”
In December last year, Dragonfly completed £75m of loans and revealed it had completed £1.74bn of loans since launching in 2009.
In November, Bridging & Commercial exclusively revealed that Dragonfly, which is part of the Octopus Group, is expected to rebrand to become part of Octopus Property in the first half of this year.
