div>The client purchased a home at auction but had been let down by a mainstream funder which left him with only seven days to complete.
At this stage in the transaction, options were limited because the loan was a regulated mortgage contract and the client was in the US and unable to return home to sign documentation.
Lee Prigmore of Aquila Financial Services, said: “When presented with this scenario from an introducer of mine, I understood immediately that getting a lender on board who not only understands the market, but one who can go the extra mile to complete was needed.
“Having used Affirmative in the past, I knew that if we all pulled together, then Gary (Lederberg), Tom, Ian and the rest of the team would do the same.
“I was delighted to see Gary personally dealing with the case, taking the time to speak to myself and everyone else in the transaction after hours.”
After working day and night, Affirmative managed to get the client to sign the documentation over a video conference call.
With the assistance of DHL to ensure completion, the customer was described as ‘over the moon’.
Gary Lederberg, Director at Affirmative, said: “Working with Lee Prigmore from Aquila Financial Services throughout this transaction, I must say, was an absolute pleasure.
“All information and documentation that we required to complete the regulated mortgage contract was delivered immediately with absolute professionalism.”
The quick turnaround in completion time meant the client secured the house without paying fees or losing his deposit.
“Our ethos is service service and more service,” added Gary.
“There is no point in over promising and under delivering.
“We have developed a team of processors and underwriters that are second to none in the industry, and we aim to continue to grow that team throughout 2016.”
