The Association of Bridging Professionals (AOBP) has revealed three new specialist finance providers as Associate Lender members..
FundingKnight, Borro and Alpha Bridging have all obtained Associate Lender status, which takes the AOBP’s total number to 33.
FundingKnight becomes the Association’s second peer-to-peer (P2P) member and Tom Hayward, Senior Marketing Executive at FundingKnight, said its membership was an additional reassurance to its customers that it adhered to the AOBP’s professional standards and code of ethics.
“It also enables us to keep up to date with matters affecting the bridging industry,” said Tom.
“Our experience of commercial lending enables us to understand the requirements of a broad range of projects: we have recently found solutions for projects including hotels, car parks and even a graveyard.”
Narinder Khattoare, Sales Director at Alpha Bridging, said it wanted to join the Association because of the work the AOBP had done in promoting the bridging sector.
“The AOBP has become an important champion for intermediaries and lenders in the short-term lending community,” said Narinder.
“At Alpha Bridging, we are keen to be involved with bodies which promote not just the industry, but also strive to lead the way on education and advocate the importance of achieving the highest standards of customer care.”
Borro expanded into bridging finance at the end of last year and Claire Barrington-Jones, SVP of Group Sales, said the involvement of the AOBP was useful when it came to its initial product offering.
“The combined experience of the AOBP committee proved useful when shaping our proposition and we received honest feedback on the pinch points of the industry that allowed us to bring the right offering to market,” said Claire.
“As the bridging market moves into a more regulated environment I hope to see the AOBP sharing key information with members and continuing to educate.”
The AOBP is set to be hosting its annual forum on 14th April, to find out more click here.
