Fantasy Football: The title race hots up

With the Grand National this weekend, it seems appropriate to check in with the race for the B&C Fantasy Football League, sponsored by Masthaven Bridging Finance, as we enter the final furlong of the season.

<
p>Like the Premier League’s own title run-in, the contest to be crowned Fantasy Football champ also looks set to go down to the wire.

Since the last update, the girls have dominated the monthly prizes with Anita Kirkbright with COYS claiming the February Manager of the Month award with 256 points, and Saubarna Deep scooping the March prize after her team Jabra Jalebi notched up 278 points.

Saubarna’s massive March points haul also saw her take the lead in the overall title race with 1,835 points.

Jonathan Sealy with Never Wok Alone is in hot pursuit just 19 points behind and previous leader Gareth Butler’s This Time Around is a further 15 points behind.

Richard Deacon, Sales & Marketing Director at Masthaven Bridging Finance, said: “With only a handful of weeks to go, can Leicester hang on? Can Saubarna hang on?

“With a massive GW34 of double-headers coming up, who has wisely left their bonus cards to the end?”
