Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform Crowd2Fund has announced the launch of its Innovative Finance Isa app, which it claims to be the first of its kind in the UK.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform Crowd2Fund has announced the launch of its Innovative Finance Isa app, which it claims to be the first of its kind in the UK.

The iOS app enable savers and investors to manage existing investments from their mobile phones.

Chris Hancock, CEO and founder of Crowd2Fund said: “The financial services sector is undergoing rapid transformational change.

“Mobile is a very important element that must be considered a priority if we think about how much we all use a smart phone every day.

“Crowd2Fund are proud to be the first platform to take this bold step with the aim to provide customers with a modern and flexible experience suited to their needs.”

Research for the British Banking Association has shown that consumers used mobile devices to check their current accounts 895 million times in 2015, more than the 427 million branch interactions.

Mobile banking has also seen approximately 200% year-on-year growth over the past five years.

“Mobile FinTech is an area we expect to grow rapidly during 2016,” Hancock added.

Since September 2014, Crowd2Fund has successfully funded 15 UK-based businesses across the sports, wine, hospitality and marketing sectors.

Crowd2Fund raised £2.5m from a range of investors in March alone.

The government’s Innovative Finance ISA was launched on 6th April.
