Commercial lender appoints Global CFO




Commercial finance lender, Funding Circle has announced the appointment of Jeremy Bennett as Global Chief Financial Officer..

Prior to his appointment, Jeremy had previously worked at Credit Suisse, as CEO of Nomura in Europe, Middle East and Africa and CEO of Nomura International. In his three-decade career in financial services, he has also worked in an advisory role to the Financial Services Authority and HM Treasury.

Jeremy was responsible for the £800bn Asset Protection Scheme that insured all UK banks in 2008, and then became the first CEO of the Asset Protection Agency, which oversaw the scheme. Jeremy’s other financial services experience includes being a senior adviser to HMT on the Vickers Commission recommendations and a board member at the British Bankers Association.

Outside financial services Jeremey has worked as the vice-chairman of the Disasters Emergency Committee and board member at the University of Oxford.
