Anthony Akka joins from Parker Properties, where he was responsible for heading court claims, rent accounts and leases for each property business division.
Anthony brings with him nearly 30 years of residential and commercial property expertise, having also spent time working on civil litigation case management at Gardner Lea Solicitors and running the property conveyancing division at Measures Franks Solicitors.
Andrew Lazare, managing director at Mint Bridging, explained that Anthony was a great fit for the team.
“His wide, industry management attributes are important at this stage of Mint’s acceleration.
“Our clients know they can discuss any areas of their property loan at any time with our team, and having Anthony as a core member is a compliment to the business.”
Anthony’s appointment comes amid wider plans for expansion, following Mint’s launch of new specialist lender, MB (Syndicates) Limited in April.
Anthony added: “I’ve seen Mint Bridging scale rapidly [during] the past year and I was particularly impressed with their hands-on approach.
“As I’ve worn many diverse hats during my career, I have the unique skills to not only oversee Mint’s legal division but advise on multiple business objectives that overlap on legal fulfilment requirements.”
Anthony is also a lecturer and will be discussing the attributes and advantages of hiring in-house lawyers at the NACFB Birmingham Workshop on 27th September.
