The event, which takes place on 22nd September 2016 at Painters’ Hall in the City of London, will look at the global events facing bridging and short-term lending as well as a look at the wider economy.
Former adviser to the prime minister Lord Daniel Finkelstein, a Times columnist, has already been announced as the keynote speaker.
He is likely to provide valuable insight into the political and social arenas and will help attendees prepare for what may be around the corner.
The ASTL has now confirmed that Lynda Blackwell of the Financial Conduct Authority; Susan Emmett, property analyst at Savills; Alan Capper, former head of credit strategy at Lloyds Banking Group; and Nick Cartwright, tax partner at Smith and Williamson, will also be speaking.
Alan will be looking at the UK’s ageing population and what that means for both infrastructure and finance, while Nick will be focusing on the impact of the changing tax landscape.
“The ASTL conference has become a renowned fixture in the calendar for lenders, advisers and suppliers to the bridging and short-term lending industry,” said Benson Hersch, chief executive of the ASTL.
“The conference will examine how everybody associated with the bridging industry can prepare themselves for a successful future by looking at what is around the corner that might affect our industry.”
