A record year and a bright future

We’ve had a busy 12 months recruiting even more talented staff, while enhancing our IT systems, processes and distribution to make our innovative specialist products available to even more intermediaries.

Annual lending was close to £1.2bn, highlighting the continued demand for our specialist finance products, with the average value of monthly loans rising to £98.8m from £84.3m – a hike of 17.2%.  

This type of success does not happen overnight and cannot happen without passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues, and we’ve spent a great deal of time this year expanding our workforce, so that we now employ more than 550 talented people and have extended our nationwide presence.

I wrote in my last blog about how we’ve grown our broker relationship team to enhance the crucial relationships with the intermediaries we’ve worked with for years, as well as opening up our product range more widely, and this has given us the perfect platform on which to build for the future. 

However, we’re not resting on our laurels. We have ambitious plans in the pipeline to further cement our position as one of the UK’s leading specialist lenders. We’re consistently reviewing our products so that they reflect changes in the market and the growth in our loan book – which is up almost a quarter to £2.24bn – highlights our success in this area.

We also plan to introduce new products over the next 12 months to increase our offering to brokers, allowing them to get the best outcomes for their customers, so watch this space for further news. We’ve got ambitious plans and we’re looking forward to working with our broker partners as we embark on the next exciting chapter.
