Amicus launches specialist services team

The property lender has appointed Matthew Anderson to the newly devised role of head of servicing and portfolio management.

Meanwhile, Ben Jackson and Stuart Boag have been named portfolio manager and development monitoring manager respectively.

The appointments will help Amicus Property Finance to deploy £500m of available funding and boost its business development opportunities.

“Matt and his team will enable us to deliver this objective, as with over £500m to lend, we expect to be very busy across our key areas of auction, refurb and development, and anticipate a busy summer ahead.”

Matthew joined Amicus in 2016 and has specialised in generating new property development opportunities since 1996, having previously been a director at Fincorp.

Stuart also joined in 2016 and previously held roles at Commercial Acceptances Limited and RBS, where he worked as a portfolio manager.

Meanwhile, Ben previously worked at Hatfield Phillips International, where he managed a £2bn portfolio of European real estate transactions.

The appointments come after Amicus Finance recruited Rob Lankey to its senior management team.

Subject to authorisation, Amicus hopes to receive its banking licence this year, which will enable it to achieve its long-term growth objectives by accessing an alternative and efficient source of funding.
