Yesterday, the astl announced the date of its upcoming annual conference following last year's resounding success.
The conference will take place on September 2014 at Painters’ Hall at Little Trinity Lane, within the City of London, next to Mansion House tube station.
Last year’s introductory conference, “Bridging Today and Tomorrow”, was tremendously over-subscribed, so the astl felt the move to a larger venue was essential.
A number of key speakers have been lined up already, including members of the FCA and from the fraud squad; other speakers will be announced over the forthcoming months.
Benson Hersch, Chief Executive of the astl, said: “The astl inaugural conference last year was a huge success so we have decided to make it an annual event.
“Because the conference was over-subscribed last year, we have moved it to the prestigious Livery Hall at Painters’ Hall to accommodate more people.
“This year’s venue will hold up to 200 people as opposed to 150 at the venue last year.
“The 2014 annual conference will look at the challenges and opportunities facing people in the bridging market, it will address the issues facing lenders, advisers and professional suppliers and better equip them to face the year ahead.”
The conference also aims to assess the impact of the outside factors affecting the growth of the market, such as European legislation and encroaching regulation.
