This year’s conference, entitled ‘Lending in an Uncertain World’, will be held on 22nd September 2016 at Painter’s Hall in London.
Benson Hersch, Chief Executive of the ASTL, said: “We are in an uncertain macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, which is resulting in heightened risks and divergent growth, and it is therefore important that we do not become complacent.
“While we can remain cautiously optimistic, the more information we can access, the better our businesses will be able to withstand the changes and uncertainties of the future.
“The conference will be a great opportunity for attendees to once again join a wide range of policy and decision makers, giving them the chance to hear from experts on the current state of the economy, the housing market and wider predictions of what might come our way and what we can do about it.”
Benson explained that although demand for loans is on the rise, the Mortgage Credit Directive and the EU referendum have palpably impacted the market.
A range of speakers will provide attendees with the information needed to meet these hurdles being faced by the lending industry.
Among those invited are brokers, lenders and solicitors.
Last year the conference sold out in advance, with over 160 people attending the event.
Formed in 2008, the ASTL currently has 35 full members and 26 associates.
Anyone wishing to register for the conference should contact Kay Woolley at [email protected] or on 01494 618462.
