B&C Awards 2015: Judging panel revealed

The judging panel for the 2015 Bridging and Commercial Awards has been announced.

This year’s awards will see a slightly different judging process in order to further increase the level of transparency and better represent the market.

An inaugural first round of judging will take place on 4th May and will see 16 of the top bridging, commercial and development finance brokers and lenders select the top five nominees in each category from a longlist after online voting closes on 27th April.

On May 5th the shortlist will be published and nominees will be asked to send in three references to support their nomination. To view the rules, click here.

The final phase of the judging process will consist of two panels meeting on May 21st to deliberate the nominees in each category. Brokers judge lender-related awards and vice versa, along with two Medianett representatives on each panel.

NACFB CEO Adam Tyler, who will be chairing the broker panel for the 5th year running said: "I have been on the judging panel since the beginning of the B&C Awards and I am always impressed with the professionalism each panel brings to their decision making on the category winners."

Regarding his impending role as Chairman of the lender panel, Director of Just Cash Flow, John Davies, said:  “It is clear the bar has been raised this year and so it is likely we will have some difficult decisions to make due to the expected high quality of the nominees. I expect we will reach a consensus in each category, however, I’m ready for the responsibility of casting the deciding vote as Chairman if required.”

These panels will be responsible for choosing the winner in each category based on their experience of the market and the supporting documentation provided by the nominees.
