City of London Group appoints chief risk officer

Richard – who has over 20 years of experience as a risk management professional – joins from SMBC Capital Markets.

At COLG, Richard will be responsible for controlled risk disciplines and critical projects as well as streamlining operational process for continuous process improvement.

 “I am excited to have joined COLG at such an exciting time for the group, and I am keen to apply my knowledge and skills to ensure that the company effectively manages the plethora of risks and to comply with its regulatory duties,” said Richard.

Richard’s appointment comes after the group recently announced that it was looking to complete £50m in UK small business loans over the next four years.
