Exclusive: Dragonfly appoints 3 new managers

A bridging lender has strengthened its rapidly expanding team with three more additions.

Dragonfly Property Finance, part of the Octopus group, has recruited Emma Burke and Tim Phillips as Development Relationship Managers and Uliana Kuzmis as a Credit Manager.

Tim and Emma will provide support in loan origination, structuring and broader relationship management while Uliana will be involved in underwriting and completing on development finance transactions.

Mark Posniak, Managing Director of Dragonfly Property Finance, said: “The ability to manage relationships and risk are key attributes for any lender and in hiring Tim, Emma and Uliana we are enhancing those two crucial areas of our business.” 

“We will also be strengthening our development proposition in the weeks ahead to give them the perfect platform to grow this side of our lending business.”

Emma has 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joins from Investec where she worked as a portfolio manager on the structured property finance team.

“Dragonfly are a young company with a great product proposition and, based on their lending volumes, one of the leading brands within alternative property finance,” said Emma.

Tim joined from Barclays where he was a relationship director in SME real estate and managed a portfolio of clients along with generating new business in both residential and commercial.

“Dragonfly employs some of the most experienced individuals within property finance and the chance to work alongside them and play a role in growing the business further was too good to turn down,” added Tim.

Uliana has 13 years’ financial services experience which was largely gained while she worked for Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank as a senior account relationship manager.

“After working for the same bank for over a decade, I wanted to experience a company that is both dynamic and that little bit different,” said Uliana.

“Given what it has achieved since launch, Dragonfly is certainly that.”

Last week, the lender announced a double appointment and filled several senior roles following the departure of CEO Jonathan Samuels.
