Finance Professional Conference programme released

The programme for the inaugural Finance Professional (FP) Conference has been unveiled

The programme for the inaugural Finance Professional (FP) Conference has been unveiled.

The all-day event is being held at Manchester Central on 2nd March and will see a number of finance providers exhibit from 10am, before the conference begins at 2pm.

Adam Tyler, Chief Executive of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers, will give an opening statement and this will be followed by a summary on the current state of the economy from the Bank of England.

A debate on the advantages and disadvantages of peer-to-peer (P2P) finance versus bridging finance will follow. The P2P team will be represented by Tom Hayward from FundingKnight, Matthew Tooth from LendInvest and Andrew Holgate of Assetz Capital, while the case for bridging finance will be put forward by Gary Bailey from Together, Mark Posniak of Dragonfly Property Finance, Yasin Patel of Amicus and Jonathan Sealey of Hope Capital.

After a short break the focus will switch to regulation. The Mortgage Credit Directive and the latest changes to stamp duty will be just a couple of the themes debated by a panel including representatives from United Trust Bank, Shawbrook Bank and Aldermore.

The final discussion of the afternoon will focus on the profile of the bridging and commercial finance sectors. John Davies of Just Cash Flow plc, Gareth Lewis from Precise Mortgages, Paul Aitken of Borro and Michael Strange of Funding 365 will discuss the public’s perceptions of the two industries and what needs to be done to build and maintain their image.

After the conference a champagne reception sponsored by Just Cashflow will start at 6.30pm, followed by a three-course dinner with drinks and entertainment.

Around 400 delegates are expected to attend the networking and conferences and 300 invited guests will attend the dinner.

The event is sponsored by heavyweight lenders United Trust Bank, Precise Mortgages, Amicus, Affirmative Finance, Dragonfly Property Finance, Just Cashflow, Shawbrook Bank and Together.
