Finanze acquires 50% stake in U-Plan Online to launch estate planning finance service

Finanze Group has acquired 50% of Cheshire estate planning firm U-Plan Online in a bid to provide personal legacy support for property and business owners on a national scale.

Following the purchase, the two firms will partner to create a new entity, Finanze Legacy, which aims to provide support, knowledge and guidance to people to prepare effectively for later life without overpaying on tax.

Alastair Hoyne, founder of Finanze Group (pictured above), stated: “Finanze Legacy will truly aid anyone who is buying property and businesses to create a legacy and income for their children.

“We have always strived to provide the kind of property and business finance support you simply can’t get elsewhere, and our 50% purchase of U-Plan Online will give clients access to first-rate estate support.

“Through Finanze Legacy, people can have conversations about whom they want to leave their assets to and how they can save tax in the process — with property being handed down effectively and efficiently.”

David Nicklin, co-founder of U-Plan Online, commented: “We have dealt with many clients over the years who don’t have wills in place suitable for their needs.

“The bottom line is that people aren’t clued up on later life planning — as a society we are reluctant to engage with it — but it’s what you don’t know that can hurt you.

“Alastair is a big mover and shaker in the market and it will be great to partner with him to scale the business up and really help more people to invest in building their legacies.”
