The Association of Short Term Lenders has announced that First Merchant has joined as an association member.
The London-based hospitality, leisure and entertainment sector funder becomes the 18th associate member of ASTL.
First Merchant has been in the market for over 20 years and has established itself as a specialist lender for leasehold restaurateurs in London and its knowledge in the industry is understood as being a key reason for teaming up with ASTL.
“We understand the market and we know how ingenuity in our approach plays a big part,” said Managing Director, Tony Hamlin.
“Our newfound partnership with ASTL and its members will allow us to exchange knowledge with one another whilst we continue to provide expert service in the unique market we operate in.”
Chief Executive of ASTL, Benson Hersch, concurred saying First Merchant will add the diversity of knowledge and market specific experience within the association.
“The ASTL continues to grow and add value to our members with each new membership,” said Benson.
“We are certainly making headway in raising the standards both within the association and the bridging industry.”
