FundingKnight has helped a husband and wife develop a hotel which has been inspired by a former Liverpool manager.
Lawrence and Katie Kenwright, founders of Signature Living Hotel Ltd, have started work on The Shankly Hotel - which will celebrate former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly.
Signature Living Hotels is a series of luxury ‘Aparthotels’ which aims to accommodate large groups and families in Liverpool city centre and since forming in 2008 has grown to become one of the major operators in the city.
The latest project, The Shankly Hotel, is thought to be worth in the region of £15m and Signature turned to crowdlending platform FundingKnight for a 12-month property bridging loan of £750k.
The Signature group recently acquired the former 145 sq ft office from Liverpool City Council located in the middle of Liverpool’s main retail core with a 115 space car park.
FundingKnight was able to support the expansion with a £750k bridging loan to Signature Car Park Ltd, with the funds being delivered within 21 days of the application being submitted.
Alan Hill, Director of Business Loans 4U, who brokered the loan for Signature, said he was delighted to have worked with FundingKnight on the deal.
“Even some of the traditional bridging funders we put this enquiry to had only just responded by the time the loan was fully funded,” said Alan.
“That’s a real testament to how efficient FundingKnight and their staff have been.”
