Former Brightstar director to lead Black Book's white-labelled service

The distributor has created the service for the exclusive use of Beaufort Group’s partners and professional connections and will provide assistance for all types of residential, commercial, development and business finance on an advised or referral basis.

Former Brightstar director of sales Clive Willson will be leading the launch on behalf of Beaufort Group.

“My team and I have had lots of experience in creating white-labelled solutions for large adviser networks in the past, and it is great to be working with both Simon [Goldthorpe] and Clive once again, so we are all very excited by the potential of this bespoke initiative.”

The Beaufort Group was founded in 2012 by Simon Goldthorpe and its nationwide partnership of IFAs currently comprises 55 partners and close to £700m of client funds under management.

The group provides its services to financial advisers and planners, retail investors, clients, employers and those looking for discretionary management.

Simon said Beaufort was excited by this expansion to its client proposition and about the subsequent growth potential for Beaufort Capital Solutions.

“As a growing team of high-performance wealth managers, our focus and expertise lies in advising our clients on their investments.

“But our clients have finance requirements too, and in the past, we have been reluctant to refer them to third parties outside the group.

“I have worked with both Clive Willson and Michael Clapper at different times in the past, and Black Book’s range of services is extremely comprehensive.

“I believe they make the perfect team to launch and develop this important client service for us.”
