By Tara SammonsGB Bank has completed the refinancing of a Midlands residential development, supporting a portfolio expansion for an experienced property investor.
Section: Case Studies
The facility refinanced an existing loan secured against a 131-unit MUFB, while also releasing capital to enable the borrower to pursue further growth opportunities.
GB Bank structured a facility that took into account the borrower’s experience and the block’s diverse occupancy profile, which includes both Assured Shorthold Tenancies (ASTs) and corporate leases.
The facility enabled the borrower to unlock capital to fund further portfolio expansion.
Mike Says, CEO at GB Bank (pictured above), commented: “This case is an excellent example of how GB Bank is able to support complex, large-scale transactions with bespoke solutions.
“Our focus is always on understanding a borrower’s strategy and structuring a facility that enables them to unlock growth opportunities, while always applying a robust approach to risk.”
