Higher loan limit comes as part of a wider commercial lending relaunch

GB Bank has increased its maximum loan size for commercial lending to £25m, as part of a wider relaunch of this offering.

The specialist bank’s relaunched commercial lending proposition is based around a relationship-led approach with flexible funding solutions for investors.

GB Bank will support a broad range of commercial investment property transactions, providing both short-term bridging finance and longer-term commercial lending facilities while also offering the ability to combine both within a single funding structure.

The maximum loan size prior to this relaunch was £20m.

GB Bank will consider a range of commercial investment assets up to 65% LTV, including retail units, office buildings and mixed-tenancy properties. The proposition is available to individuals, limited companies, SPVs and trusts.

The bank is also able to combine bridging and term finance, allowing it to structure full end-to-end solutions around each transaction.

Lending is available across mainland England, Scotland and Wales, and each application is assessed on its own merits.

“Commercial property transactions rarely fit neatly into a box,” said Pankaj Thukral, chief lending officer and deputy CEO at GB Bank (pictured above).

“Our specialist lending team understands the complexities that can come with commercial investment transactions and works closely with brokers to structure facilities that meet the needs of both the borrower and the asset.

“With bespoke underwriting and dedicated support available on loans from £1m to £25m, brokers can be confident that their cases will receive a clear and considered response.”
