Glenhawk CEO Guy Harrington to step down

Guy will keep his ownership stake in the bridging lender he founded and will remain on the board.

During his time with the company, Glenhawk —  which started as a two-person office and now boasts a team of 60 — has increased its funding capacity to £700m, achieved £1.5bn in lending, and launched a new structured real estate division.

The lender has funding from six global institutions and has also won numerous awards over the years.

In a post on LinkedIn this morning, Guy commented: “It’s been a wild ride: Brexit, Covid, four prime ministers, inflation, rate rises, wars. We’ve had it all!

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, a truly powerful brand, huge funding, and a top performing team that are not just colleagues, but friends.

“I’ve always believed people make a business, and they are one special group of humans! Current and former.

“A special mention to Nick Hilton; Nick was there at the start and, without him, this wouldn’t have been possible. Not only have I learned a huge amount, but also gained a brilliant friend.

“Also to Harry Hill, who has advised and guided us on the way to the success we’ve had.”

Guy went on to say that he will be pursuing new ventures in the financial services industry, highlighting his current work in advisory roles and investments.

He added on LinkedIn: “For now, a couple of weeks down time and a nice long motorbike trip into the Highlands, with a tent probably!”
