Henry Stewart Property Conference hailed a success

The event, which took place on 19th May at the Le Meridien in Piccadilly and was chaired by James Bloom, Chief Executive of development lender Regentsmead, covered many current issues of the market by big names in the property industry.

Peter Stoughton-Harris, Executive Director, Valuation & Advisory Services at CBRE, kicked off the event with a true picture of the economy, including the impact of a possible Brexit on the market.

 

Shaun Roy, Partner and Head of Specialist Property at Knight Frank, also spoke in the morning about property investment appetite, where he explained that specialist property will become “the most important part of investor portfolios”. 

 

 
Another highlight of the event was a panel discussion debating the key drivers of lending and emerging trends in funding for high-street and challenger banks. 

 
James told B&C that he was “delighted” to have chaired the event.

“There were some excellent speakers who covered a wide range of property and finance topics,” James said.

“The feedback from the delegates was excellent and we look forward to the next one.”

 
Ashley Ilsen, Head of Lending at Regentsmead, who also spoke at the conference on the current market for finance in residential development, added: “It was a real honour to be able to represent our industry at such a prestigious conference and hopefully deliver some useful and informative nuggets for the delegates.
