Hope Capital Property Finance has celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a decade and a half in the specialist finance market.
Hope Capital was founded by CEO Jonathan Sealey (pictured above, left) in 2011 to offer brokers and borrowers greater speed, flexibility, transparency and specialist expertise.
Since then, the firm has continually evolved its proposition.
This has seen it expand into Scotland, broaden its residential, refurbishment and commercial lending capabilities, and invest in new technology and processes.
Over the years, Hope Capital has also increased its maximum loan size from £1.5m to £5m, completed increasingly complex transactions and expanded its funding capacity through institutional partnerships.
These have included a £75m funding line with Triple Point, a £50m facility with Shawbrook Bank and £35m of committed wholesale funding from Hampshire Trust Bank.
The anniversary coincides with Hope Capital’s recent move into its new Liverpool headquarters. Three times the size of its previous office, the purpose-designed space provides a new home for Hope Capital’s growing team and reflects the lender’s confidence in its future.
“When I founded Hope Capital 15 years ago, I had ambitious plans for what the business could become, but I could never have imagined the journey we would go on,” said Jonathan.
“There have been many important moments along the way, but what makes me proudest is the team we have built and the relationships we have developed with the brokers, borrowers and stakeholders who have been part of our story.
“We have come a long way since that first borrowed desk and chair, and I am incredibly excited about what the next chapter holds.”
Kate Cowan, chief financial and operational officer at Hope Capital Property Finance (pictured above, right), added: “Hope Capital’s growth has been underpinned by our continued investment in our people, our proposition and the way we operate.
“Alongside the strength of our institutional funding partnerships, these foundations have enabled us to evolve with the market while continuing to deliver the personal, flexible service for which we are known.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we are firmly focused on building on that progress and creating even more opportunities for our brokers, borrowers and team in the years to come.”
