Hope Capital increases Shawbrook funding facility to £50m

Enhanced funding capacity supports growth plans and rising demand

Hope Capital Property Finance has increased its committed funding facility with Shawbrook Bank to £50m.

Having initially secured a £15m facility in 2023, followed by further increases in 2024 and 2025, the latest uplift brings the total committed facility to £50m.

The increase also forms part of Hope Capital Property Finance's wider funding strategy.

Earlier this quarter, the lender announced that its renewed committed senior funding line, facilitated by Triple Point, had increased to £75m.

This followed the announcement of a new funding partnership with Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), with Hope Capital Property Finance securing its first £35m committed funding line from the bank in June.

Warren Mutch, head of speciality and fund finance at Shawbrook, commented: "Hope Capital Property Finance has delivered consistent and sustainable growth, underpinned by disciplined underwriting and a clear strategic direction.

“It's been rewarding to support the business over several years as our partnership has evolved, and this latest increase reflects both the strength of the relationship and our confidence in the team as they continue to expand."

Kate Cowan, chief financial and operating officer at Hope Capital Property Finance (pictured above, right), added: "This enhanced facility strengthens our day-to-day operational capacity and ensures we are well positioned to manage increasing volumes while maintaining the standard of service we are known for. Our focus remains on scaling sustainably and continuing to build on the success we've had."

Jonathan Sealey, CEO at Hope Capital Property Finance (pictured above, left), said: "The continued support from Shawbrook Bank is a significant endorsement of both our performance and our long-term strategy.

“Alongside our recent funding milestones with Triple Point and Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), this enhanced facility ensures we have the strength, flexibility and liquidity to continue supporting brokers and borrowers as demand for specialist bridging finance continues to grow.

“As we continue to expand, maintaining strong relationships with trusted funding partners remains central to our strategy and our ability to deliver market-leading service."
