Hope Capital secures expanded facility from Shawbrook
By Elliot TophamHope Capital has doubled its enhanced funding with facility from Shawbrook Bank.
After initially securing a £25m committed facility from Shawbrook in 2023, along with another multi-million-pound facility at the end of 2024.
According to the short-term lender, it is on course to achieve its most successful year to date, with growth in enquiries and completions, with the trajectory further strengthened by continued support from Shawbrook Bank, which is planned to play a key role as Hope prepares to introduce a range of new product offerings.
The new Shawbrook facility will sit alongside Hope Capital’s existing facilities with Triple Point and a growing number of high-net-worth investors.
Kate Cowan, CFO at Hope Capital (pictured above), commented: “We’re extremely proud to have maintained a strong partnership with the team at Shawbrook Bank for nearly two years now and are grateful for their continued support.
“Securing a new funding facility once again last month, is a significant and exciting milestone, expanding the scope of what we can achieve as a lender in the short-term market.
“Our diversified funding structure remains a critical component in delivering certainty to our growing network of brokers and borrowers, while maintaining the high service standards we are known for.”
Warren Mutch, head of speciality finance at Shawbrook, added: “Since initially delivering a funding line for Hope Capital back in 2023, we have seen the business grow substantially and maintained our support with a facility top-up late last year.
“Kate and the team at Hope are now looking to move to their next stage of growth with new products and we are delighted to continue supporting them on their journey.”
