Landmark Specialist Finance relaunches Developers’ Academy with auction workshop

Landmark Specialist Finance is relaunching its Developers’ Academy in collaboration with Savills.

The first session in the new series will look at buying property at auction. It will take place on 19th November in Canary Wharf, from 6.15pm to 10pm.

The Developers’ Academy is a workshop series for landlords, developers, BTL investors, surveyors and other property professionals.

Each session covers one topic, presented by practitioners working in that area of the market.

The format is in person, with time for questions and discussion.

The evening opens with an overview of the wider market and economy, followed by case studies and the main speaker sessions.

The Academy ran earlier this year and is now being relaunched.

Previous sessions covered topics around bridging finance and development finance in collaboration with Avamore Capital, KSEYE, NEXA Finance and Project & Co.

The workshop aims to give prospective buyers and property investors a clearer understanding of the current market. This session focuses on auction property, where buying involves its own timelines, legal requirements and financial considerations.

The session will cover two areas:

· the auction buying process: a practical guide to preparation, due diligence and the key considerations before bidding

· auction market trends: Savills’ observations on buyer activity and the opportunities emerging in the market

The evening will also include an announcement about a new proptech auction house, due to launch soon.

It intends to use technology to simplify the buying and selling process and reduce costs for buyers and sellers. Further details will be shared in due course.
