LendInvest capital expands team

Jesse Mosebye joins online mortgage specialist LendInvest Capital from Scotiabank, and will work to broaden the team’s investor relationships among larger institutions.

Jesse Mosebye spent five years in the European Capital Introductions team at Scotiabank prior to the move, and was responsible for building relationships for hedge fund and asset management clients.

Following their record growth in March, the firm is expanding its team in order to capitalise on a bank funding deficit in the UK real-estate lending market.

LendInvest Capital currently manages over £85m in two discretionary funds on behalf of institutional investors, banks and private clients across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Its Luxembourg-based flagship fund, the Real Estate Opportunity Fund, has returned between 8% and 10% each year since inception.

LendInvest was the UK’s first online property lender, and has originated over £640m of loans for borrowers.

The company’s team has grown from 30 to 100 employees over the past year, following £39m in equity investment from two international investors.
