Loan.co.uk enjoyed its biggest month of bridging loan completions in September.

The broker said the increase reflects its strategy of providing a one-stop specialist finance shop for its intermediary partners.

Paul McGerrigan, CEO of Loan.co.uk, believes that customers and brokers are benefiting from low borrowing rates and an increase in product innovation from forward-thinking lenders.

“Our bridging proposition and the recent increased activity represents an important step forward for the business,” said Paul.

“As we continue to build out the foundations of the business, it is important that bridging loan proposition grows hand in hand with the traditional second mortgage offering.”

Paul pointed out that access to a wide panel of bridging and second mortgage lenders was a vital part of Loan.co.uk’s strategy.

“It is important to remember when customers need money they do not have a preference,” added Paul.

“Our job as professional finance specialists is to help provide solutions to the customer to ensure that their personal circumstances and requirements can be met.”

Richard Deacon of Masthaven said Loan.co.uk’s branding and service proposition had gone down well with their mutual customers.

“Their commitment to education and transparency can only help to bring more awareness of second mortgages and bridging loans to the financial services sector and consumers,” said Richard.

Roger Morris, Director of Sales at Precise Mortgages, added: “It is important that you consider all options for a customer and have the skill set within your business to be able to investigate, evaluate and offer complex structured finance - Loan.co.uk is certainly embracing and delivering this.”
