Octane appoints new director of structure finance

Octane has appointed Alex Tyrwhitt (pictured above) as director of structured finance, marking his return to the business after more than a year away.

Alex previously spent almost eight years at Octane heading up the structured finance team, having joined the business in its early stages.

Most recently, Alex served as director of structured property solutions at United Trust Bank, where he led the bank's structured finance and strategic partnerships activities.

Alex has also held senior roles at HSBC and GE Capital, both on the direct investment and lending sides of the business, underwriting and executing equity investment and development projects.

He also spent time at Lambert Smith Hampton where he became a chartered surveyor.

In his new role, Alex will focus on further expanding Octane's large loans proposition and will play a key role in helping continue shaping its success following the acquisition by Aldermore Bank.
