Ortus appoints Head of Sales

Ortus Secured Finance has appointed its first ever Head of Sales to lead its sales strategy.

The leisure finance lender has recruited Jon Salisbury as its new Head of Sales. The appointment complements the announcement that as an incentive to brokers the lender is changing its panel criteria and increasing proc fees to panel members. 

Armann Thorvaldsson, Chief Executive at Ortus Secured Finance comments: “I have known Jon for a number of years and he was a key member of the team which grew the KSF loan book to over £1 billion. Jon is an experienced lender having worked across a range of areas including property lending, private banking and factoring.

“As well as sales, Jon has worked on product design, client management and broker relations.  We are delighted that Jon has chosen to join Ortus as we enter our next phase of growth.”
 
Jon Salisbury said: “It can be hard for clients and brokers to find knowledgeable and supportive financiers for pubs, guest houses and hotels … however this is an area where we are very comfortable.”

“We’re not in this business for a quick buck and we’re delighted to give brokers a real financial incentive to partner with us.”  Alongside other incentive improvements, Ortus has introduced a minimum 1 per cent proc fee to non-panel introducers.

Ortus believes the key to growth is delivering for clients, Jon said: “Remuneration is vital but when it comes to building future business for us and our partner brokers there is no substitute for giving clients a consistently fair deal.”
 
Ortus is becoming recognised for its wide capability across the consumer and unregulated residential sector.  However, the lender is best known for its strong appetite for financing pubs, guest houses and hotels, and is fast becoming the lender of choice.
