Pallas Capital appoints new senior originator for Scotland

Pallas Capital has appointed Geoff O’Brien (pictured above) as senior originator for Scotland.

Pallas Capital has already completed transactions in Aberdeen and Glasgow, with a strong pipeline in execution, and dedicated legal and valuer panels have been established to support Scottish lending.

Geoff brings 25 years of lending experience to the role, having spent his entire career in Scotland, with additional experience lending in Northern Ireland.

He has held positions at Clydesdale Bank and Santander before specialist finance roles at Together and Assetz Capital.

“Scotland has real momentum right now — from the housing shortage and the opportunity that creates for SME housebuilders, through to the pipeline of student accommodation, hotel conversions and regeneration schemes in our cities,” said Geoff.

“What's often been missing is lenders who are genuinely on the ground rather than just visiting.

“Having spent my whole career based here, I know these markets and the people in them, and that's exactly the kind of relationship-led approach I want to bring to Scottish borrowers and brokers.”
