Platform Black appoints operations director
By Tom BelgerPlatform Black has strengthened its organisational structure with the appointment of an operations director
Andrew Howard has been appointed having already spent three years with Platform Black. In his 25-year career, Andrew has built up a successful track record at a senior level at a number of asset finance companies.
The appointment comes after Platform Black saw zero defaults against a turnover of £44m over the past year and the platform is looking to focus on its credit risk and processes which were introduced 18 months ago.
Speaking about his new role, Andrew said he was committed to ensuring the delivery of transparent due diligence to Platform Black’s investors to ensure its clients had access to a fast and flexible supply of finance.
“The P2P funding space is improving the accessibility of much-needed competitive finance to businesses on their terms.
“However, it is critical that we ensure finance is provided sensibly and securely to guarantee the continuity of funds that investor confidence brings.”
Caroline Langron, Managing Director at Platform Black, added that it was a pleasure to reward Andrew’s dedication and solid performance with a board position.
“Having successfully built and managed operational and risk teams and processes in this space, he is adept at making difficult and calculated decisions by balancing risk against reward.
“As a business we are growing solidly and most importantly demonstrating to our investors that we are considered in our due diligence, providing them with comfort that we are a responsible and safe firm to work with.”
