Regentsmead announces new COO

Regentsmead has revealed a new chief operating officer as it is set to release a new range of innovative products to the market

Sam Howard has been promoted to the role after joining the principal lender in 2011 following the completion of an MBA from Saïd Business School, Oxford.

Having served as a director of Regentsmead since 2015, Sam also has a background in property law and managing property portfolios.

“I am delighted to take on this new role and help drive Regentsmead forward, a business that originated in 1934 and today is laser-focused on providing our clients and broker partners with the benefit of our unparalleled experience and fast and flexible service,” Sam stated.

“I am looking forward to ensuring Regentsmead continues to flourish at a time when our experience and proprietary funds are more important for the industry than ever.”

The appointment comes after Regentsmead celebrated a record year with its loan book growing by 38%.

Sam will be working alongside Richard Ross, chairman of Regentsmead, and Ashley Ilsen, head of lending, who feels the appointment comes at such an exciting time for the business.

“The pipeline has been excellent over the last few months and we expect the loan book to grow again this year.

“Over the last few years we’ve gone from strength to strength.

“Our introducer partners have fed back to us how easy it is in this current climate to deal with a true principal lender that can make immediate decisions.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Sam and growing the business further.”
