StreamBank names new CEO to lead lending growth

StreamBank has appointed Barry Carter (pictured above) as its new CEO, effective from 14th December 2026.

He will succeed Mike Kirsopp, who is retiring after leading StreamBank through a period of significant growth.

Barry joins StreamBank from Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, where he currently serves as chief executive having previously held the role of COO.

He brings more than 25 years of experience across banking and financial services, with senior leadership roles covering operations, business transformation and strategic growth.

The appointment comes as StreamBank looks to broaden its lending range.

Commenting on his appointment, Barry said: “I’m thrilled to be joining StreamBank at such an exciting point in its journey.
