The P2P platform explained that the move had already led to a sharp increase in enquiries.

The P2P platform also said that it was increasing its marketing activity and expanding its introducer network to attract more enquiries.

The House Crowd recently launched its Innovative Finance Isa (IFIsa), available to investors who wish to invest a minimum of £1,000 up to a maximum of £20,000 in any single tax year.

The property crowdfunding platform was granted full authorisation from the FCA as a P2P firm in January this year.

Charlotte Hall, head of bridging and compliance at The House Crowd, said: “The decision was taken to expand as we have now settled comfortably into England and Wales, and are now receiving an increasing number of enquiries from customers in Scotland.

“We have already formed relationships with solicitors, surveyors and brokers north of the border, and are very much looking forward to completing on our first few cases in the coming weeks.”

It currently receives around 80 enquires a month, but only around half actually fit into its lending criteria.
