Topland Vintage provides £10m senior facility against Scotland mixed-use commercial asset

The lender also reported that it is on track to double its loan book this year

Section: Case Studies

Topland Vintage group has completed a £10m senior facility secured against a mixed-use commercial asset on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Introduced by Monzu Real Estate, the loan funded the £20m acquisition of the property which comprises agricultural and brownfield land and mixed-use commercial buildings.

The facility is structured at 50% LTV ratio with a 12-month term, funded entirely by Topland.

Daniel Eastwood, structured finance originator at Topland, said:This transaction demonstrates Topland’s ability to provide funding across a diverse range of asset classes and locations.

While our focus has traditionally been on deploying capital into core markets, we are always prepared to explore specialist opportunities where the risk-adjusted returns are compelling.

We were able to underwrite and complete this transaction within the required timeframe, and in doing so have established a strong relationship with the sponsor.

We look forward to supporting them with their objectives going forward. Thanks again to Monzu for introducing the deal.”

Monzu Real Estate commented:Topland understood the transaction immediately and Daniel Eastwood was proactive in attending to the client’s requirements.

It was a pleasure to deal with knowledgeable and experienced lenders.”
