Darren has over 30 years of experience in the banking sector.

He has held roles at Lloyds Banking Group and most recently served at TSB Banking Group PLC, where his roles included chief financial officer and executive director responsible for finance, treasury, investor relations, strategy planning and corporate development.

Darren played a key role in the launch of TSB, its IPO and its subsequent takeover by Banco Sabadell.

The announcement of Darren’s new post followed regulatory approval and an orderly transition of the chairmanship from Norman McLuskie.

Norman will remain chair of the remuneration committee, a role that he has held since 4th May 2017 following the retirement of senior independent director Marilyn Spearing.
