FIBA conference agenda revealed




The newly launched Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA) has published the full agenda for its inaugural conference.

Taking place at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, central London on 17th January 2018, the launch event will feature presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

FIBA will welcome both lenders and intermediaries to the event, including members of the Association of Bridging Professionals (AOBP), whose membership will move to the new trade body.

The day will begin with registration at 11am, followed by the chance to meet the FIBA membership team and sponsors.

The FIBA chairman will begin the conference with an address and short presentation from primary supporter the SimplyBiz Group.

Michael Saunders, a member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, will then deliver the keynote address at 11.45am.

The event will feature two panel discussions: the first on tackling competition in the bridging finance industry and the second focusing on opportunities in the wider UK lending market in 2018.

The first panel will feature the insights of Octopus Property, Masthaven, West One Loans, Together and Market Financial Solutions, while the second will draws views from Ortus Secured Finance, Assetz Capital, OakNorth Bank and CG & Co.

A spokesman for the FIBA executive committee commented: “Support for FIBA’s first event has been very encouraging.
